An adaptation of Clint Bellanger's 2D Platformer Character Animations Base, but in pixel art format for a Castlevania clone I was working on. In that game, titled "Revenge", the character's love was stolen by a vampire and he was killed. He rises again undead with one goal: to kill the vampire king who stole his love away. Pretty basic, but pretty fun to make.
The video is the context in which it was used, a demo for teaching a summer course about Construct 3. Part of the course was me teaching pixel art animation, resulting in the player character sprite, but part was about finding free resources across the internet to use when making a simple game. The resulting game I made to demonstrate this, is full of art that is Not Mine, and it has been many summers since I was teaching and I no longer have the details of where everything is from, regrettably. The overdramatic "cinematic" section was for students who wanted to learn how to use the structure to put little cinematics in their games. It is a bit over the top, so skip to 1 minute in to see the very rudimentary gameplay, if that is all you are interested in.
